Four against one: independent economist Siarhei Chaly visits Belarusian state TV
The situation has not changed
Belarusian economist Siarhei Chaly, a member of the initiative group of “Tell the Truth!” campaign’s candidate Tatsiana Karatkevich was invited as a guest to a state TV program “Editors Club”.
Despite the fact that four opponents interrupted Chaly all the time, the economist managed to make a couple of points criticizing the economic policy of Belarusian authorities.
According to Chaly, Belarusian economy now goes through a period of “shock” without any “therapy”, and all the negative social consequences which the authorities used to scare the population, such as unemployment growth and back pays, already exist.
