Lyabedzka proposes boycotting of the presidential campaign

In his column at Naviny.by United Civic Party leader Anatol Lyabedzka proposed his strategy for the presidential campaign-2015. He also pointed to four main factors influencing the campaign – demand for changes in the society, economic crisis in Belarus, foreign influence (Ukrainian factor, desire of the West to be pragmatic in its relations with Lukashenka), and decomposition of Belarusian election model.

In this situation Lyabedzka thinks that appealing for a boycott of elections may be an efficient tool in forcing the authorities to make changes – include opposition activists to election committees, make changes in the election law, thus returning the right to elect to the citizens of Belarus.
