Andrei Dzmitryeu responds to accusations in an interview to Belarus Partisan

Head of Tatsiana Karatkevich’s initiative campaign Andrei Dzmitryeu told “Belarus Partisan” about the meaning of her participation in presidential election as a candidate, and why it is important to continue until the end of the presidential campaign despite constant accusations of collaboration with special services.

Some of Dzmitryeu’s points were:

The democratic opposition critical of Karatkevich helps her to look as a new, alternative face to the old opposition disliked by the society because of the constant inner struggles.

BPF Party’s leader Aliaksei Yanukevich sacrificed the reputation of his party and his own reputation in order to make Karatkevich the only candidate which doesn’t have negative reputation.

It is impossible to go ahead with the organization of the election boycott.

Karatkevich’s participation in the election won’t help Lukashenka to become a legitimate president in the eyes of the West; Russia’s money and Lukashenka’s position on the Ukraine will.
