Staff-reshuffles in Belarus’ regions to enhance local governance

President Lukashenko released Nikolay Domashkevich, his assistant and Chief Inspector for the Vitebsk region from office due to retirement.

The president continues to rotate his managerial staff in Minsk and in other region in order to reduce corruption in the state-run economy, increase state control and enhance governance in the regions ahead of the 2015 presidential campaign. In the future, President Lukashenko will continue to reshuffle managers in regions with high corruption levels and low executive discipline.
