Beef and poultry price hike as consequence of ASF virus

As of May 21^st, poultry producers were allowed to raise selling prices by 10% to overcome the disparity in prices on the domestic and foreign markets. Due to the ban on pork imports from several EU countries and the impossibility to organise meat supply from Canada and Brazil in the short term, the pork deficit will continue and the demand for poultry and beef will increase. Meat exports might be restricted, meat prices will continue growing until supplies from third countries have returned to normal or restrictions on meat imports from the EU have been lifted. Also, control over meat prices will be strengthened inside Belarus and the financial health of meat producers will somewhat improve.
